Chief of Staff

You will operate at the vibrant intersection of Sports, Investments and Business Operations and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and growth of Next 3 - scaling the impact and reach, while enabling strategic alignment across key stakeholders, and driving high performance, organization and accountability across the entire business. 

An ideal opportunity for a dedicated Sports enthusiast, you will support the growth and effectiveness of Next 3 portfolio companies including Gotham FC, the National Women’s Soccer League, and others, helping ensure flawless execution. As both a strategic advisor and a diligent project manager, you will work at the forefront of transformative initiatives, driving efficiency, creativity and operational excellence. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Serve as the right hand and force multiplier to the CEO in her work with Sports teams, investments, business operations, and a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives. Whether taking meetings on behalf of the CEO, or vetting inbound requests and opportunities, you’ll often act as the CEO’s eyes, ears and trusted thought partner.

Prepare the CEO for high stakes meetings, initiatives, and events, driving readiness and impact. From deck creation and research to analysis and execution of follow-through, help support our most important decisions.

Oversee Next 3 Operations, including project, partner and expense management, creating and implementing VIP ticket systems, and developing operating rhythms to ensure Next 3 is functioning at peak effectiveness.

Manage calendar, including defining and executing structure around meetings, ensuring time allocation efficiency and prioritization across various offices, teams, projects and stakeholders.

Drive strategic initiatives, from building momentum with portfolio companies to supporting NWSL Board responsibilities. In partnership with internal and external stakeholders, identify innovative solutions and opportunities that drive Next 3’s vision and impact forward in a 10x capacity.

Support Next 3’s ownership interest on Gotham FC and New York Giants, including defining KPIs, developing business perspectives and executing sponsorship engagement strategies and database management.

Execute a vision from start to finish, including creating strategic itineraries, attending meetings across the New York / New Jersey area, spearheading special projects, solving problems on behalf of the CEO, and conducting research to support and implement decisions.

Demonstrate exceptional organizational and project management skills, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and breaking down difficult barriers with professionalism.

Display grit, integrity and tenacity, with relentless drive, and a diligent, results-oriented approach.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field; MBA and / or Sports experience preferred

5-7+ years relevant experience, across a combination of strategic and operating roles, showcasing a track record of high stakes execution, exceptional business acumen, critical thinking and problem-solving

Experience working independently and as part of a team as both a self-starter and a collaborator, with ability to manage many high stakes projects simultaneously

Based in the New York area and excited to work in person several days per week, across both New York and New Jersey

Flexibility to participate in select games and events during non-traditional work hours
